MAKING DATA DIGESTIBLE
I chose this report from IBISworld as a comprehensive look into the industry, choosing to create a fictional industry analyst publisher to compile the data, ideally presented to executives and industry professionals, in a manner that combines the essential insight they're looking for with the fun that radiates from the amusement park industry as a whole. My inspiration lies within the parks themselves. Vintage post cards, colorful paper ephemera, and decorative framing makes up the cues for this work, tapping into a nostalgic and optimistic time.
Fun takes the lead in this issue while still maintaining readability and statistical accuracy. Additionally, I chose to incorporate smaller inserts and callouts to add visual interest to the publication, as well as to add additional information for the reader to browse in a less overwhelming way. Small, digestible pockets of information among the article spreads helps to keep the report breathable and still informational.
